Generali Tower: Smart Work Spaces
For generali tower, the general contractor tim has chosen 3p technologies for the integration of innovative technologies and the principles of the wellbeing office
Generali Tower is the new main Milan office of Generali Assicurazioni in the heart of the city. As one of the global giants in the sector, Generali has chosen the tower designed by Zaha Hadid in City Life as its new HQ in the heart of Milan.
The Tower satisfies the Group’s needs to create a smart environment, a space able to increase interaction and use technology to connect Generali people around the world.
“Over the past 3 years, Generali Group has worked to define, test, and apply an innovative, common framework to apply to working spaces and technologies“, says Ruggero Forni (Head of Group Premises & Facilities Management Generali Tower), adding: “This initiative, called“NWoW Smart Workspaces”, has redefined the guidelines that characterize offices, making it possible to implement modern dynamics characterized by greater flexibility and collaboration to better support the work activities and wellbeing of employees.
The Generali Tower in Milan was the first concrete example of application of the “NWoW Smart Workspaces” guidelines, in particular those relating to audio, video, and Unified Communication solutions, that are currently being installed in the Group’s other offices throughout the world”.
This is an ambitious project in which 3P Technologies assisted the client from the initial phases of planning, winning the contract due to its design of technical solutions for the spaces in the Tower.
From planning to installation
Being part of the planning team from the start, together with the architects, systems engineers, interior and lighting designers, was the true driver of the entire project. Nothing was left to chance, and everything was immediately integrated, between furnishings, light, and technology, creating adequate spaces with solutions meeting the client’s needs.
Upon entering the brand new headquarters you are immediately struck by the Welcome Screen in the reception area: two high definition Curved Led screens fit perfectly into the design of the interior and metaphorically immerse the visitor in the Generali world.
The entire tower represents the highest expression of the technological solutions for the corporate world. From the Digital Signage systems on the floors to keep visitors informed, to the room booking solutions for meeting rooms, to the collaboration systems present in each meeting room.
Technological solutions between architecture and interior design
The Board Rooms and the Auditorium are the two environments that most reflect the perfect integration between technology and architecture. The Board Rooms, equipped with the most modern video and conferencing technologies, are perfectly integrated in terms of architecture and lighting, climate control, and automation. All of the rooms are managed by the MAYA control platform developed by 3P Technologies to allow for holding international board meetings without the obligation of technical assistance on site.
The same is true for the Auditorium, a place where technology is perfectly integrated with the environment, and where the technical solutions devised merge with and are concealed in the architectural design, while guaranteeing top-level technical performance.
A project where design, planning, and integration are strongly linked
The experience and skills in the integration of three strongly connected aspects such as design, planning, and installation, have allowed 3P Technologies to create a complete solution that interacts perfectly with the architecture and interior design of the Tower.
The Generali Tower project was named one of the five international finalists for the “Corporate Facility” sector of the “InAVation Awards 2020”, an event held every year on the occasion of the ISE, the largest fair in the world dedicated to professional audio-video and systems integration.
The forty-four floors of the new Generali headquarters represent a high technological standard for smart offices and Unified Communication solutions, that will soon be extended to all of the other Generali offices in the world.
